Professor Ricardo Santos holds a Ph.D. degree at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1992), and a B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) at the same University (1966). He also holds a B.A. in Laws at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1984), and a Diploma in Urban Studies by the Instituto de Estudios de Administración Local, Centro de Estudios Urbanos (1978).
He specialises in Urban Affairs with special concern for planning and managerial issues. He lectures on “Urban technology and urban transportation” and Regional Planning at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering and Higher Technical School of Land Surveying in the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has held relevant positions as a civil servant at different national agencies and acted as consultant for various private institutions.
